Craig Johnson has represented injured people in Bakersfield since he opened this office in 1992. He earned his law degree at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1988 and was admitted to the California Bar on June 6, 1989.
He began at Borton, Petrini & Conron — founded in Bakersfield in 1899 and among the oldest firms in California — on large-loss oil and gas, energy, and mass casualty matters. Three years of defense-side work taught him how a carrier actually builds and values a file, and he has spent every year since using it on the other side.
He is fluent in Spanish, learned on a church mission to Ecuador before law school, and it is the thing his clients mention first. He raised five children in Bakersfield and is now a grandfather. Away from work he plays pickleball and follows BYU sports.
